jQuery Quicksand →
A really slick plugin for sorting and reordering items with beautiful shuffling animations. This just made the Pinch Pad menu about 50% prettier.

The latest Mac build of Google Chrome is crashing consistently whenever I try to post anything to Tumblr. The error seems to be mostly related to moving around inside the ‘Post’ text box, but that’s not all — here’s a partial list of things that cause me to lose my post.
Hitting the arrow keys

We debuted four new arrangements at our Spring Jam a few days ago. “You Belong With Me”, originally by Taylor Swift, is one of my favourites.

This afternoon I put together a small plugin for jQuery that can detect multi-touch swipes in Mobile Safari.
This may only have limited usability on the tiny screen of an iPhone, but I think that with the upcoming release of the iPad there’s real potential for intuitive multi-touch gestures on the web. For example, the webapp I’m working on right now is a simple notebook program...

The problem, of course, is that before day one, we won’t have iPads ourselves for development and testing. This wasn’t a problem for iPhone development: by the time the SDK was released, we had all been using iPhones for many months. We knew how iPhone apps should look and behave, and we could test our apps on our iPhones during development for three months before anyone could sell apps...
One Heavy February
Well, I’ve got my work cut out for me this month — I’ve decided to take on both the RPM Challenge and Hourly Comics (though possibly a bit modified from John Campbell’s standard form). I’ll be posting again soon with more details, but in the meantime, wish me luck!
