As part of my stalled-but-ongoing series of infographics, I’ve been trying to reconstruct a record of my history on the web — the various sites that I’ve registered for since my first time on the web back in the mid ’90s. I’m sure there are plenty of sites that I’ve forgotten, but it’s still a fascinating reflection of my development through middle school, high school, and college to the present-day.
The very first site I signed up for? The Headbone Zone — later bought and rebranded as FleetKids — where I registered as “rofreg” way back in 1998. (The name was taken from an imaginary operator in the 3rd grade math assignment I had completed the night before.)
The latest? Statlr, as of about 3 hours ago. Not super-useful, but I’m a sucker for League Gothic and bold, color-centric design :)
